Well...I didn't do my homework last night but I did get it done today! :)
Yesterday whenever I got the kiddies from daycare Erin's teacher took me aside (felt quite "serious") to have a wee chat... Apparently Erin's a bit rough with the other kids, pushing and pulling etc. and she "just thought I should know..." :/ I tried to find out if it's any specific time of the day or in a certain situation but she said it happens any time really. :/ I also asked how they "correct" her when she does it and was told that she's of course told not to be rough but they don't want to push her to apologise "because it's a difficult situation for Erin as well"...so I really didn't get anywhere with the whole thing.
I feel like I can't have a intelligent conversation with this teacher either because she speaks to me (an everybody else) like I'm 3 years old and it's, as you might imagine, quite frustrating!
I'll see if I can possibly speak to one of the other ones about it today. They only have 7 kid there today so we'll see if perhaps that's the issue - the size of the group but... I was sort of left feeling responsible for something that I can't do much about. Erin's not like that at home - even if she and Anton can play a bit rough at times.
How am I supposed to raise her, correct her, when I'm not there?
She's obviously frustrated about something (with the pushing and pulling) but I can't say what since I'm not there... It's not possible to reason with her after the fact since she is only 2 years old, I could talk to Anton about it but not yet with Erin...
Hoping to get some more answers about it today.
E.
