Sweden seems, by all accounts, have had it's first hit by a suicide bomber. Yesterday afternoon a car bomb went off in central Stockholm and shortly thereafter a man blew himself up only 300 meters away from the initial blast. Thankfully things doesn't seem to have gone according to plan as it seems he only managed to kill himself. According to the news on TV4, 1 of 5 bombs that the suicide bomber carried with him went off.
It would have been nothing but a catastrophy had he managed to get into the crowds of busy christmas shoppers... Two people have been taken to hospital, with minor injuries, received at the site of the car bomb.

Trav told me about this! How scary and horrible. I am so glad that the only bomb that went off was the one that killed the S.O.B.
I'm not all for violence, but assholes like this deserve it.
You know what... I thought that I'd be pissed off...thinking he got what he deserved, but seeing the newsfootage of his body in the sidestreet over and over on the news I just felt pity. I feel sorrow and sadness for his misguided soul...
He's apparently a married man with two young children and my heart goes out to them.
Don't get me wrong, I would not have had things to go differently but I'm _not_ angry and I do think he (and his wife and children) deserved better.
May his God have mercy on his soul.
